Trio Bronze at Individual Event

From 28th to 30th September, 2022, Bhutan’s U15 and U17 teams played in Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles in knockout Individual event at Badminton Asia South Asia Regional Junior Championships 2022.

Bhutan’s team claimed bronze in the Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles in U17 individual events. Also in Women’s Doubles U15 category also claimed bronze.

In U17 event; Men’s Doubles bronze medalist by Avik Balampaki and Tshering Dendup and in Women’s Doubles bronze medalist by Jigme Sonam Droelkar and Palden Zhizang Lhamo. Whereas in U15 event; Women’s Doubles bronze medalist by Yeshey Leksel Dorji and Yeshi Tenzin Lhamo.

In U17 Individual events, In Men’s Singles category total of ten players participated from which First and Second place is players from India, Third are players from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

In Women’s Singles total of eight players from which First and Second is players from India and Third is players from Sri Lanka.

In Men’s Doubles total of six teams from which First is India, Second is Sri Lanka and Third by Bhutan and Bangladesh.

In Women’s Doubles total of five teams from which First whose to India, Second Sri Lanka and Third by Bhutan and Maldives.

Lastly in the Mixed Doubles category, there were total of nine teams of which India took first and second and third by Sri Lanka.

In U15 Individual events, In Men’s Singles category total of ten players participated from which First and Second place is players from India, Third are players from Bangladesh.

In Women’s Singles total of eight players from which First and Second is players from India and Third is players from Nepal.

In Men’s Doubles total of six teams from which First is Bangladesh, Second is India and Third by Nepal and Maldives.

In Women’s Doubles total of five teams from which First goes to India, Second Sri Lanka and Third by Bhutan and Maldives.

Lastly in the Mixed Doubles category, there were total of nine teams of which India took first and second and third by Sri Lanka and Nepal.
