The Member Association Awards, which are designed to recognize excellence and promote best practice throughout the BWF’s 198 Member Associations (MAs), were launched on May 6, 2022 by the BWF.
Each year, MAs are invited to submit applications to be considered in one of four BWF membership award categories:
- BWF Membership Grant Programme Impact Award
- Participation Award
- Inclusion Award
- Promotion Award
MAs choose a project or activity within a category and must demonstrate clear achievements in one or more of the Membership Award Selection Criteria Areas – Excellence, Innovation, Impact, and Sustainability.
Bhutan Badminton Federation (BBF) has submitted application in “BWF Membership Grant Programme Impact Award”. In this category, BBF was shortlisted alongside with Zimbabwe, Ukraine, Benin and Burkina Faso. Of the five countries, Benin was selected as winner. We would like to congratulate Fédération Béninoise de Badminto, Benin.
Saudi Arabia is the winner of the Participation Award. The recipient of the Inclusion Award is the United Arab Emirates. Last but not least, Australia has won the Promotion Award.
