National Players Embark on a Journey to Compete in Regional Tournament

A National Team of eight young athletes has been chosen to represent the nation in the highly anticipated BADMINTON ASIA SOUTH ASIA REGIONAL JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023. This prestigious international badminton tournament for players under 17 and under 15 years old is scheduled to take place in Nepal from the 18th to the 22nd of August 2023.

Before the championship, the selected athletes underwent intensive training at Thimphu, Bhutan from the 7th to the 11th of August 2023. The rigorous training aimed at fine-tuning their skills, enhancing their strategies, and building their physical endurance for the championship.

Today marked the arrival of the talented athletes in Nepal, where they will train at the South Asia AOP Regional Training Camp. This training camp, designed to identify and nurture future badminton stars, will take place from August 14th to 17th, 2023. It aims to cultivate their talents further, providing them with the necessary guidance and exposure to thrive on the international stage.

The South Asia AOP Regional Training Camp is a crucial stepping stone for young players. Not only does it offer them an opportunity to compete at the highest level in the BADMINTON ASIA SOUTH ASIA REGIONAL JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023, but it also serves as a platform to be scouted for future potential in the world of badminton.
