The Advanced Winter Training Camp 2024 for badminton concluded successfully after three weeks of intensive training with a total of 35 participants, including 13 girls and 22 boys. The participants are from Peljorling Higher Secondary School, Punakha, Gesarling Central School, Tangmachu Lobdra Tewa, Lhuentse, Thimphu and rest mix from various parts of the nation.
The commitment and active participation of all players were commendable, creating a positive training environment. The camp concluded with the 3rd weekend tournament and the winner is as followed:
Under U17 Boys Single :
Winner: Ngawang Rigsel Jurmey
Runners up: Pema Tenzin.
Under U15 Boys Single:
Winner: Sonam Phuntsho Tsheten
Runners up: Yeshi Singay.
Under the U17 Girls Single:
Winner: Kritty Gurung
Runners up: Lhazin Namgay
Under U15 Girls Single:
Winner: Yagchen Dolkar
Runners up: Yeshi Leksel Dorji
The camp’s success reflects not only individual improvement but also the strengthening of bonds within the badminton community.
