The Bhutan Badminton Federation orchestrated a commendable Sports Excellence (SE) award ceremony on December 15, 2023, at Bebena, commemorating Bhutan’s 116th National Day with exuberance. The ceremony spotlighted the remarkable accomplishments of our budding athletes, who distinguished themselves by securing four bronze medals at the South Asian Regional Junior Championship 2023 in Nepal, held from August 18 to 22.
In the mixed team event, our athletes clinched two bronze medals each in the U17 and U15 categories. Their triumph extended to the girls’ doubles and mixed doubles categories for U17, garnering an additional pair of bronze medals. In recognition of their achievements, the federation presented the medalists with cash prizes and khadar.
