On 30th April 2022, the Bhutan Badminton Federation and the Gesarling Higher Secondary School (GHSS) celebrated the historic podium performance of the Asian Youth Para Games 2021 held in Bahrain last year at GHSS, Dagana. The Federation expressed appreciation and gratitude to the GHSS for their indispensable support that the Federation received thus far. The GHSS also felicitated Ms. Sapuna Subba and Mr. Dorji (Coach) for their achievement.
The Federation represented by Mr. Kinley Tshering, the General Secretary and the GHSS represented Mr. Tshering Neema, the principal signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a first-ever inclusive and gender-balanced school badminton club affiliated to the Bhutan Badminton Federation. The Dzongkhag Education Officer, and the Head of the Gesarling Gewog-Gup along with the teachers/staffs and officials from the Federation witnessed signing of the agreement. With the MoU in place, the Federation and the school hereafter will mutually promote badminton sport while ensuring unobstructed academic pursuits and mandates of the school.
